EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICE  for scientific solutions

Structural Failures

Structural analysis is the determination of the effects of loads on physical structures and their components. It incorporates the fields of applied mechanics, materials science and applied mathematics to compute a structure's deformations, internal forces, stresses, support reactions, accelerations and stability.
BioMx utilizes sophisticated computational software (LS-DYNA, MADYMO) to perform highly complex analysis of structures in order to examine the effects of testing protocols; namely, SAE J996, SAE J2422, and NHTSA 216 among others.
Structural failure of automotive vehicles, trucking industry, or other types of products can be analyzed and BioMx can provide an alternate design in comparison that mitigates or prevents injury. When a structure is statically or dynamically loaded, detrimental stress concentrations can lead to total failure of the structure based on the design or inferior materials selection. Products fail structurally when loading conditions are not properly considered. BioMx has the ability to critically analyze these structures and provide answers to the integrity of the design and safety of the occupants.

Roof & Cabin Crush Analysis

BioMX Roof and Cabin Crush

Roof and cabin crush is an analysis to measure the failure and displacement of the roof and / or cabin into the occupant compartment during an accident.

Rollover Protection Systems (ROPS)

BioMX Rollover Protection Sytem

ROPS is a structured cage or compartment to protect drivers of cars, vans, trucks and operators of heavy equipment from injury in rollovers. The structures strength and energy absorption requirements are defined by regulatory agencies.

Tipover Protection Systems (TOPS)

BioMX Tipover Protection System

TOPS is a structured cage or compartment to protect operators of heavy equipment from injury in tipovers. The structures strength and energy absorption requirements are defined by regulatory agencies.

Barrier Impact

BioMX Barrier Impact

Barrier impacts are designed to test protective performance of a motor vehicle with respects to human occupants. The barriers are used by manufacturers, testing agencies and government agencies.

Generalized Structural Failures

BioMX Generalized Structural Failures

Generalized structural analysis is used to measure materials when stressed beyond their strength limits causing fracture or excessive deformation. This can occur in any structure that is designed to carry a load such as buildings, bridges, vehicles, machinery, furniture and more.
